My Trustee is looking at bank transactions dating back to 2003 – is that right?

This is most unusual as the Statement of Affairs only requires details of bank accounts over the past two years and in the case of property, five years. Just why they are ferreting into transactions that took place 12 years ago is intriguing, but they are quite entitled to do so. Even if something untoward were discovered, it would be impossible to present a case for something like premeditated disposal / transferring of assets, as who could possibly have foreseen a bankruptcy twelve years later? Maybe they were having a Back to the Future moment.

Bankruptcy UK offers a full bankruptcy administration service and will submit your bankruptcy application online. Court appearances are no longer required for bankruptcy. Call us for bankruptcy help on 01425 600129 or for an informal chat about your circumstances.
